I have finally found help. I have requested to transfer to another centre, hoping that I can get the advice and service I need from my previous beauty consultant. You see, this beauty consultant who is the supervisor of the outlet has long been transferred to another outlet. I will call her SF. After some waiting, I was finally able to meet her for my first facial session at this centre at Ampang.
Although she wasn't able to attend to me personally, she had made sure that I was taken care of by an experienced beauty consultant. True enough.. This experienced consultant gave me a lengthy explanation of what skin tag is and why I have them. She also analysed my skin in detail and enlightened me of my problems and how to overcome them. She made sure I understood them and gave me the necessary advice.
So, she had extracted all my so-called skin tags which the consultant at the previous outlet neglected to do. They were not exactly skin tags but have the potential to turn into them if I don't take good care of them. According to her, they were white heads which have hardened and were quite stubborn to be removed. Only an old hand like her can handle these problems.
Whatever it was, I walked out of the salon, feeling satisfied that my skin problems are being attended to and that I will be undergoing a series of 'repair' sessions which this consultant promised. She assured me that she would help me to solve my problems provided I heed her advice to go for regular facial session and adhere to regular skincare regime.
Now, this is what I call service for the money that we part with.

The black mark is gone
After a few days, the black mark at the corner of my right eye was gone. Phew...
And I thought it was due to some kind of pigmentation or an aging symptom. My son is right, it's just due to a very minor bruise on this sensitive area of the face causing the dark spot.

What's that black thing at the corner of my eye?
As though my skin problems are not enough, I am now 'plagued' with this small tiny black patch (it looks like the eye-liner which was drawn too thick) at the corner of my right eye? Could it be pigmentation?
It isn't bulging and I can't peel it off or scrape it off. My son says it could be a mild bruise. I certainly hope so.

My eyebrows were shaved
It was a beauty consultant from the same salon who advised me not to shave my eyebrows. Shaving, it seems, damages the cuticle and may lead to retardation of the brows. The advice was given a few years ago after I told her the make-up artist of a photo session shaved my eyebrows to rid of unnecessary fine hair.
A few years later, just a few days ago, another beauty consultant from this salon, did just that. And, I had gone through the third round of eyebrow shaving by her. Logic tells me that the shaving is an easier way of getting rid of unwanted hair, it's neater and requires less brow-picking skills. She did brow-picking too but not enough. And she got too carried away with the shaving that I actually suffered a cut on my eyelid, I realised later at home when I cleansed my face and felt a tingling sensation. She shaved the sides of the brows, under the brows and above my nose bridge.
She will definitely be getting a gentle earful from me on my next session.

Pleasure became torture
In all my years of facial sessions, this has to be the worst, most torturous session. Most of you will agree that the only painful session of any facial treatment is the extraction of blackheads. My nose,to me, is the most 'insensitive' part of this process, probably because of my thick nose. And, yet this petite lady is capable of inflicting pain to this part of my face. I used to enjoy my nose being 'extracted' of blackheads. Not anymore.
My 'ouches' and moving of my face to signal to her of the pain didn't stop her from her passionate extraction. The last straw came when my cheeks were the next target. She didn't seem apologetic and continued until I finally raised the white flag. 'I don't want to continue anymore. It's so painful..,' I almost pleaded to her in desperation.
Still no apologies, she explained that the pain could be due to the 'stubborn' blackheads and my dry skin condition. My face was in dire pain and I couldn't be bothered with whatever reason she gave. Next, she said calmly and professionally,"Ok la, maybe next session we continue,". "No way!" I vowed. Under my dead body will I allow you to extract my blackheads.

Looking for economical facial programmes
I am still on the lookout for more economical facial programmes. It can cost a bomb when you require quality and natural products, products which can reduce the stubborn and ever increasing pigmentation on the face. On top of that, other age-revealing part such as the eyes and neck cannot be neglected too. These are the most prominent ones when it comes to age-telling signs. I still have quite a number of treatments to go with my current programme. I have been recommended to a beauty centre which claims to be much cheaper and sells quality products too. And the most important of all, no hard-selling. Emm, I'll definitely try this out.

To renew my membership
My membership is expiring. I was told that if I pay a certain amount of money I will be able to renew it and in addition, I'll be able to get service voucher equivalent to this amount. If I don't do anything, my membership shall be downgraded (to a lower one with less benefits).
Whenever I tell myself that I'm not going to spend a single dime at the salon, I will most of the time end up signing up for a programme and this means cash outflow, what else? Anyway, I have to replenish a few products, that's inevitable spending.
If you really do want to know the price, do drop a comment with your email address or better still email me.

Too much of facial treatment is bad
Is it true that too much of facial treatment actually thin the skin? If this is true, then this might explain why the sight of green veins on my face is becoming more and more obvious.
I remember my beautician told me that regular facial treatment cleansed the face off impuritants and make it clear. Hence, marks/stains or in my case the veins which were not clearly visible earlier will begin to be more obvious.
I don't mind if the above is true. Or else something may be very wrong if there is green stuff growing on my face!

Budget facial
With the increase of petrol price and the impending electricity tariff hike tomorrow, everything is expected to be more expensive.
So,what does changing lifestyle entail? One of my tactics is to phase out going for my ever important facial treatment. This means instead of the recommended 3 weeks (or the most one month frequency), I will be going after more than one month. Since mine is on programme, I will take longer time to complete my programme. Which means less cash outflow...

Is it better to use facial sponge?
I have been using facial sponge since a few years ago when I was first introduced to milky cleanser. Somehow, I feel not 'clean' if I remove the cleanser (after a cleansing regime) with my bare hands. Hence, I tried using a facial sponge as what my salon does. By using this, the first layer of milky cleanser is washed off first with the sponge. The subsequent washing seems much easier.
Anyone can enlighten?
